Koz and company fantastic; Krall not in element
The consummate professional musicians at the top of their game were Dave Koz, Brian C, and band members! What a show. Awesome musicianship and fun choreography made this show with no breaks between sets.
After a 1/2 hour wait, Ella Langley and her small, not so loud, band came on. She is known for being low key. I think this venue was not the best set up for her coming after Koz. Her voice, which I like, is unique, as well as her music. The jazz piano and musician solos were very good, but more traditional jazz. Sadly, I was a little bored. Don't know how she could have injected some "oomph" in her show. Would have liked to see her in a medium-sized Cafe setting - that would be perfect.
